Packaging Manager - Cape TownOur client is looking for a Packaging Manager to join their team!Responsibilities:Directs and coordinates activities in the Packing department.Confers with management personnel to establish production and quality control standards, develop budget and cost controls and to obtain data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products ordered.Plans and directs production activities and establishes production priorities for products in keeping with effective operations and cost factors.Coordinates production activities with procurement, planning, maintenance, and quality control activities to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment.Consults with technical/engineering personnel relative to modification of machines or processes and equipment to improve production and quality of products.This is to be done within the Frame of QA compliance and operating within high standards of cGMP, HSE environmental protection, and good working practices.Key Skills:Decisive, sense of urgency; people handling skills; team leadership; analytical skills; logical; self-motivated; and organized.Ability to work under pressure.Punctual, shows interest and enthusiasm towards work; co-operates with staff at all levels within the company; dependable; shows initiative; attention to detail; and accuracy.Qualifications:Degree or Diploma with 8 to 10 years of related experience in the Cosmetic, FMCG, or related field.Conversant with OSH Act/Labour Laws /ISO Quality Systems.IT and numerical skills.Knowledge of systems and processes in a cGMP packaging environmentGood technical skillsGood analytical skills, troubleshooting, and problem-solvingProficient in root cause analysis, with attention to detailOrganization and efficiency, Leadership, and interpersonal skillConfidence, Project management skills, Communication skills, Teamworking skills, IR knowledge.Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
