Job Description

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS



Education



Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organisational Development, Industrial Psychology or Business Administration.

Work experience



At least 7 years' experience in Organisational Development, Change Management, or Human Resources, with a strong focus on workforce transformation and employee engagement. Experience in designing and implementing change management initiatives and OD strategies. Proven track record in employee engagement, culture transformation, and performance management. Experience in stakeholder engagement, particularly in unionised environments.

Technical Skills



Organisational Development (OD) Methodologies: Expertise in OD frameworks, including diagnostic tools, intervention strategies, and evaluation methods to improve organisational effectiveness Change Management Frameworks: Proficiency in leading change initiatives using models such as Kotter's 8-Step Model and ADKAR to guide organisational transitions. Organisational Design and Workforce Planning: Ability to assess and implement effective structures, roles, and workforce strategies to align with business objectives Performance Management Systems: Experience in designing, implementing, and managing performance appraisal frameworks that drive individual and organisational growth. Leadership Development and Coaching: Skilled in designing and delivering leadership development programs to enhance managerial effectiveness and talent growth Employee Engagement Strategies: Ability to develop and execute initiatives that improve employee morale, commitment, and productivity. HR Analytics and Reporting: Proficiency in analysing HR data, trends, and metrics to drive decision-making in OD and change management projects Competency Management and Development: Ability to define, assess, and implement competency models that support employee development and organisational success Facilitation and Workshop Design: Expertise in developing and conducting training, workshops, and interventions to support team effectiveness and culture change. Project Management for OD and Change Initiatives: Ability to plan, execute, and monitor OD and change projects using project management methodologies, including Agile principles

Industry Specific Skills



Labour Laws and Compliance: Strong understanding of employment legislation, employment equity requirements, and workplace transformation policies applicable to unionised environments Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Management: Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with union representatives, employees, and management. Conflict Resolution and Mediation: Expertise in resolving workplace disputes, facilitating grievance procedures, and ensuring fair labour practices Workforce Restructuring and Change Strategies: Knowledge of restructuring processes, retrenchments, and change strategies that align with trade union and organisational objectives Employee Value Proposition (EVP) Development: Ability to design and promote EVP strategies that attract, retain, and engage employees within a unionised workforce Advocacy and Policy Influence: Experience in influencing organisational policies and decision-making processes to support worker engagement and rights.
