Training and Change Management SpecialistFunctionHead OfficeFacilityPositionTraining and Change Management SpecialistIntroductionA vacancy exists for a Training and Change Management Specialist, based at Life Healthcare Head Office, in Dunkeld, reporting to the Organisational Change Lead. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the change managers and business owners with all training requirements.Critical OutputsSupport the change managers and business owners with training requirements including:

  • Support the business by providing adequate training services to ensure the correct level of competency is obtained in the new change.
  • Develop credible relationships with all stakeholders in the business and the project and IM team.
  • Report weekly / monthly / on training and process performance.
  • Attend and participate at all standups, workshops, committees, and project meetings as required.
  • Prepare training feedback reports for committees.
  • Complete and / or contributing to the delivery of impact assessments on all projects to accurately determine the degree of change for end-users, which will inform training interventions.
  • Understand the new change in detail by comparing the change to the current as-is way of doing things to enable identification of training requirements.
  • Prepare training plans which includes duration of training, end-user groups, approach for training, methodology, logistics and timelines.
  • Prepare training costs associated with the training plan.
  • Prepare training plans and integrate training activities into the overall project plans, including flight plans.
  • Enhance and maintain a structured training methodology and toolkit.
  • Attend business testing meetings to participate in the testing and to develop training content.
  • Conduct demonstrations and testing of training materials with business and project teams.
  • Design and support business in conducting skills assessments for employees.
  • Design and create training material using multiple methodologies, including creating digital learning, training, and eLearning.
  • Develop competency tests for training.
  • Identify any people adoption trends or risks and develop and implement sustainable training solutions to mitigate these issues.
  • Raise any risks timeously that are associated with training readiness with business and table at Working Committees and other forums.
  • Maintain and update existing training material for business.
  • Train end users, support teams, Superusers / Champions and other relevant people.
  • Design and deliver refresher training for business.
  • Prepare kick-off and on-boarding presentations to communicate training approach and support for business.
  • Monitor and report on training progress.
  • Create training surveys and prepare and provide feedback reports / presentations for stakeholders.
  • Conduct individual and group interviews to illicate training feedback.
  • Evaluate training survey feedback, report back to business and adjust training appropriately.
  • Keep records of training and ensure user readiness, by reporting back on attendance and competence during training.
  • Manage access to Learner Management Systems (LMS) and liaise with Service Providers as necessary.
  • Oversee and manage the governance of the LMS.
  • Train appointed business users on how to assign access to LMS and how to self-manage content and access of users.
  • Design, prepare and distribute all training communication.
  • Assist with hand holding at facility as required.
RequirementsQualifications
  • Qualification: A relevant degree or diploma (NQF 7) in training or an equivalent degree or diploma is preferable.
  • Knowledge of Private hospitals is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of working on, and managing, Learner Management Systems, Moodle, and digital learning platforms is essential.
  • A good understanding of how people adapt to change and how training supports their adoption.
Experience
  • 5 years business experience working in a large organisation.
  • Excellent knowledge and competence working on Microsoft windows - Word, PowerPoint and Excel is critical.
  • Developing training content in an engaging and clear way to enable new skills and knowledge of learners.
  • Delivery of training material and courses to diverse audiences.
  • Experience supporting large ERP deployment projects in large organisations i.e. SAP, Payroll, Finance, HR, and Clinical systems is an advantage.

  • Flexible during times of change, and can conform and remain agile to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Good organisational and planning skills, managing large training projects.
  • Persuasive, encouraging, and motivating.
  • Skills to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including many departments within the business and IT.
  • Customer service skills an asset.
  • Skills to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.
  • Understanding of the private healthcare industry, its challenges and role players would be an advantage.
  • Computer proficiency.
  • Driver's license is essential and ability to travel locally in Gauteng and nationally across South Africa.
