Ophthalmologist - Nauru
We are seeking a
qualified and compassionate Ophthalmologist
to join our healthcare team in Nauru. This is a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact in a small island nation by providing essential eye care services to the local community.Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive eye exams and diagnoses Treat eye conditions including cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, etc. Perform minor surgical procedures and refer major cases as necessary Collaborate with general practitioners and public health teams Provide training and support to local medical staff
Requirements:
Medical degree with specialization in ophthalmology Valid medical license and board certification Minimum 2 years of post-residency clinical experience Strong communication skills and cultural sensitivity Willingness to live and work in a remote island setting
