Core Description
Responsible for overseeing the activities of a supply chain, such as purchasing, inventory, transportation and warehousing, within the Business Unit.
Key Deliverables / Primary Functions
- Create, coordinate and complete shipments of goods between the Business Unit, vendors and branches.
- Negotiate preferred pricing and maintain margins prescribed by the Business Unit.
- Transact with suppliers, freight companies and other service providers.
- Track inventory levels and ensure accuracy of records.
- Coordinate between Procurement team and suppliers for product information and arrange movement of goods.
- Support with maintenance of logistics policies, procedures, support plans and similar data.
- Review and analyse program effectiveness, suggest and execute on time improvements and corrective actions.
- Monitor and report on supply chain performance metrics, such as cost savings

Minimum Qualifications
NQF 6: 3 year Degree/ Diploma/ National Diploma in Supply Chain Management
OR NQF 4: Grade 12
Additional Education -Preferred /Advantage
Experience
Minimum of 3 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in a procurement role
Or
If only Grade 12 (NQF 4), then 5-yearsxe2x80x99 experience in a procurement role
Certifications
Professional Memberships in Relevant Industry
Level of Engagement & Span of Control
