Core Description

Responsible and accountable for: Satellite Network SLA's, generation of specifications relating to the International & Satellite env. IBS & Teleport development, design & planning. Establishment of Satellite communication needs & requirements of a prospective customer, design and cost such a network, assist in the drawing up of the contract between customer and Telkom. Assistance during ongoing maintenance of a designed and implemented network. Completion of re-engineering on these Networks.

Required Certification

Qualifications

Relevent 3year BSc Eng (Elect) or M Dip Tech/ National Technical Diploma or equivalent (at least NQF level 6)
Experience

5 Years relevant experience in a Satellite Communication Networks/Transmission environment.
Special Requirements

Valid driver's license - Willingness to work outside normal working hours - Willingness to travel and stay out overnight
Comments

Applicants with Transmission engineering with a focus on international traffic engineering experience will have an advantage.
