Job Description

Overall Responsibility:

The Machine Operator is responsible for the cleaning, sanitisation, CIP processes, and operation of production machinery. This role is accountable for running the line efficiently, filling orders according to schedule, and working closely with the Lab and Cellar teams to ensure all QC parameters are met.

Focus Area 1

Follow the production schedule to ensure orders are completed on time and in the correct cooperage Conduct CIP and sanitisation of the line according to SOP requirements Operate the production line as per SOPs and ensure QC standards are maintained Maintain organisation and cleanliness within production and storage areas Maintain adequate stock levels of raw materials used on the line Identify and escalate operational problems to Management and Maintenance where required Identify, document and report non-conformances Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements of the Role

Matric Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Machine Operator in an FMCG environment Technical qualification (N4, N5 or N6) advantageous Experience in Food & Beverage packaging lines advantageous

Ability to operate and work on a PC Ability to work independently and within a team Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and meeting production goals Demonstrates initiative, urgency and proactive problem-solving capability
