Responsibilities

Ensuring the image and neatness of the Vehicles and Subordinates meet with the company and clients' standards. Direct inbound and outbound logistics operation, such as transportation or warehouse activities, safety performance, and quality management. Respond to all client queries timeously and to notify management of any issues raised by the client. Promote continuous improvement of processes and procedures to enhance service delivery to the client. Closing of freight with sails/nets, or securing the side curtains, before departing for routes, as well as assisting to secure/close up other vehicles which are loaded. Using scanners for all deliveries and ensuring that all POD's and delivery notes are returned and scanned. Integrate and Manage the Operational MIS with day to day, weekly and monthly evaluation of collection and Delivery Quality and Productivity, Departures and Arrivals, Maintenance of your Fleet, Vehicle performance with regards to operational efficiencies, Driver Performances., Fuel Consumption, Drivecam Evaluation.

Requirements

Grade 12 certificate or equivalent. Logistics and Supply Chain Management or Transport Management related qualification. M inimum of 8 years' experience in the transport industry, with at least 4 years in supervisory position. Essential to have vast hand on experience in the loading and offloading of freight. Local Regulations, Compliance Management and Investigation Knowledge. Management of Health and Safety Knowledge. Knowledge of MS Word/Excel.
