Vacancy: Operations Manager

Working Hours:

Regular hours:

06:00 - 15:00

Additional hours: telephonically available as required to ensure drivers have completed their deliveries.

Please note: Working hours are non-negotiable and form a core requirement of this position. Do not apply if you cannot fully commit to these hours.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee

day-to-day operations

to ensure efficiency and productivity. Ensure all packs are completed on time, drivers leave on time and deliveries are done as per customer requirements. Co-ordinate activity between operations, procurement, production and food safety to ensure requirements and standards are met. Instruct and manage all drivers to ensure deliveries are completed daily as per customer requirement Instruct and manage packers and packhouse supervisor to ensure products are packed correctly and on time to ensure customer satisfaction. Manage the maintenance and roadworthiness of all delivery vehicles Sometimes liaise with customers directly regarding their queries Maintain the working areas as required daily Occasionally do pick up as required Occasionally pack orders as required Report to the Assistant General Manager Performance- manage staff that report to you Occasionally do deliveries as required Manage budgets for vehicles

Requirements:

Computer literacy including excel 5 years' experience in operations management or a similar position The ability to work under pressure and to meet strict deadlines.

Problem-Solving

: Quick decision-making under pressure. Must have the ability to supervise staff and ensure that there is compliance in the workplace. Must be independent and able to make decisions on your feet
