EXPERIENCE: 4-6 Years related working experience

LOCATION: Midrand/Menlyn/Rosslyn/Home Office rotation
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum mandatory experience:

  • 3 Years Application User Support and Incident Management.
  • Advantageous qualifications & experience:
  • Any IT qualifications relevant to the role (e.g. scripting languages, operating systems, data base administration).
  • ITIL.
  • GROUP IT Operations processes & systems.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills to quickly identify and resolve complex technical issues, often involving multiple systems and applications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide responsive and effective user support, including the ability to understand user needs, explain technical concepts in plain language, and document solutions.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) to streamline and optimize operational tasks, improve efficiency, and reduce manual effort.
  • Experience in setting up and maintaining monitoring solutions, as well as the ability to quickly triage and respond to incidents, escalating as needed to ensure timely resolution.
  • Proven understanding of cloud computing platforms (e.g. Azure) and the ability to manage and maintain on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure, including servers, storage, and networking.

  • Awareness of security best practices and the ability to implement and maintain security controls, as well as ensuring compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards.
  • Any additional responsibilities assigned in the Agile Working Model (AWM) Charter
ADVANTAGEOUS SKILLS
  • Windchill experience.
  • Grafana experience.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment, with the ability to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and adapt to changing requirements.
  • Excellent document writing skills to maintain clear and up-to-date documentation of operational processes and procedures.
  • German Speaking/ Base understanding.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams

  • Ability to work interdependently and to submit deliverables on time and with excellent quality.
  • Good interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to communicate effectively (both verbally and written) on technical and non-technical level.
  • Above board work ethics - this is of utmost importance.
  • Flexibility to take up different tasks in the project.
  • Ability and willingness to coach and give training to fellow colleagues and users when required.
  • Must be able and willing and able to travel to Munich, Germany if required.
ROLE:
  • IT Incident Management & Root Cause Analysis
  • Manage IT problem investigations end-to-end by facilitating root cause analyses and implementing corrective and preventative measures
  • Analyze and report on IT incident trends to identify and eliminate root causes
  • Take proactive action to prevent potential service interruptions
  • Determine if new incidents are linked to known errors or existing problems
  • Recommend long-term solutions to prevent incident recurrence
  • Process Improvement & Change Management
  • Lead process improvement and change management initiatives using relevant methodologies and frameworks
  • Plan and execute projects with minimal disruption to business operations
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of business processes to determine when system/application changes are required
  • IT Operations Optimization
  • Provide technical guidance for planning, monitoring, and managing IT systems and operations
  • Analyze workflows and operating system performance, recommending improvements to increase system efficiency
  • Propose system modifications or new equipment to enhance capacity and performance
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
  • Develop communication plans to support change readiness and manage stakeholder expectations
  • Serve as a change agent, promoting best practices and fostering a culture of continuous improvement
  • Additional Duties
  • Prepare system/technical documentation in alignment with ISO standards
  • Participate in sprint planning and refinement reviews with cross-functional feature teams
  • Support system administration tasks, including upgrades, validation testing, and end-user support
  • Translate business needs into actionable technical requirements and see concepts through to successful implementation
