Ivanplats is looking for a Occupational Hygiene Officer X1 (REF:IVP-MTS-2503)

IVANPLATS (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of Ivanhoe Mines, is advancing the development of its world-class palladium-rhodium-nickel-copper-gold project in the Limpopo Province near Mokopane. This unique mineral deposit will be exploited using large mechanised state-of-the-art underground mining methods, deploying the latest technology to develop this "mine of the future". Suitably qualified and experienced candidates are invited to apply for the following vacancies required for the project development.

Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills

:

National Senior Certificate, Grade 12 Matric or equivalent. Chamber of Mines Intermediate Certificate. Valid driver's license. The following Certificates will be advantageous: + National Diploma or Degree related to Occupational Health
+ Occupational Hygiene measurements
+ Occupational Hygiene Risk Management
+ Occupational Hygiene Legal Knowledge
+ Project Management
+ Certificate in Mine Environmental Control (Completed)

Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:

Computer literate in MS Office Management of Occupational Hygiene Systems Data Science and analysis Linkage of Occupational Hygiene measurements and medical records

Suitable candidates must affiliate with a Professional Body:

Member/Associate with the Mine Ventilation Society of South Africa (MVSSA) SAIOH Registration as Occupational Technologist

Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:

Minimum of 5 years' experience in Ventilation and Occupational Hygiene field Minimum of 2 years' experience in Metallurgical Production and Processing Plants

The Role requirements includes, but not be limited to:

Ensure that legal requirements, IVP standards and policies are adhered to, to achieve legal compliance. Maintain Occupational Hygiene strategies and systems. Identification, evaluation and recommendation of appropriate interventions. Reporting structures. Operational Risk Management and auditing.
