Job Description
Sunshine Seedling Services, part of the TWK group, has the following vacancy available: Nursery Dispatch Manager at Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Coordinate the dispatch of timber seedlings and the dispatching of clones and essential oils
- Oversee the nursery maintenance ordering spares, controlling stock and putting systems in place
- Assist with daily planning tasks for sorting, coordinating sorting and orders going out based on the dispatch plan
- Checking the quality of plants for dispatching and ensuring that plants are sized and sorting before dispatching
- Ensure that delivery schedules are followed
- Build relationships with customers and expand the Sunshine brand
- Regular capturing of the orders onto the pulling schedule
- Daily inspection of timber sorting and allocating labour for planned deliveries in advance
- Ensuring that work is carried out according to the ISO 9000 work instructions
- Ensure that customers are receiving the service they expect
- Getting order numbers
- Proforma invoices
- Matric / Grade 12
- BTech or Degee in Horticulture focusing on plant nutrition and health
- Hands on growing and production experience
- Prior experience with plant nutrition
- Fluent in English and Zulu
- Willing to work with Hands
- Ability to work under pressure
- Knowledge of nursery equipment and vehicle maintenance
- Self-motivated, disciplined and able to deal with clients and offer a high degree of service
- Computer literate
- Willing to do weekend duties and work some public holidays
- Strong leadership skills
