Permanent Night Shift, 21:00 - 06:00 (one weekday and every second weekend off)
About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and proactive
Night Shift Operations Coordinator
to join our CPT Operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the national after-hours operations, supporting field staff, handling emergencies, and ensuring seamless service delivery in line with company standards.
Key Duties
Coordinate and oversee all afterhours operational activities between 21:00 and 06:00
Provide afterhours support and guidance to field staff nationally
Monitor tracking systems and service schedules, addressing any delays or deviations
Handle emergencies, breakdowns, and incidents, ensuring service continuity
Manage last-minute service or roster changes and update schedules accordingly
Conduct early-morning staff duty checks, wake-up calls, and briefings
Ensure staff have all required resources (waybills, nameboards, directions, funds, etc.)
Escalate unresolved or critical matters to the relevant Branch Manager
Maintain effective communication with Operations, Planning, Fleet, Sales, and partners
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, operational standards, and company policies
Deliver accurate handovers to and from day/late-shift teams
Minimum Requirements
Matric and a Certificate in Tourism Management (or equivalent)
1-3 years' experience in tourism transport logistics and/or the hospitality industry
Computer literacy (MS Office, Outlook/Email)
Supervisory experience will be advantageous
Strong administrative and customer service skills
Proven ability to work under pressure with effective crisis management and resolution skills
Ability to work independently, while being a strong team player
Emotional intelligence and excellent interpersonal skills
Good written and verbal communication, with strong telephone etiquette
High level of accuracy, time management, and attention to detail
Must be able to work permanent night shifts (21:00-06:00)
Flexible and willing to assist in day/early shifts operations when required
Own transport is essential due to late-night and early-morning working hours
