POSITION: Millwrights
LOCATION: Alberton
Position Summary
We are seeking a Red Seal Certified Millwright to join our maintenance team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting,
and repairing industrial machinery and mechanical equipment. This role requires a high.
level of technical expertise, safety awareness, and a proactive approach to equipment reliability and plant operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, align, dismantle, and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.
- Inspect and examine machinery and components to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, motors, pumps, gearboxes, etc.
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematic drawings, and technical manuals.
- Fabricate parts as needed using machine shop tools and equipment (e.g., lathe, mill, grinder, welder).
- Diagnose equipment issues and determine root cause using troubleshooting skills and tools.
- Collaborate with other trades (electricians, welders, engineers) to complete projects and repairs.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records in the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and company policies.
- Fault finding.
- On the job testing.
Required:
- Red Seal Journey person Millwright Certification.
- Minimum 5 years of experience.
- Experience in FMCG environment.
- Familiarity with PLCs and automation systems.
