Job Description


To effectively and efficiently install, maintain, upgrade and fabricate machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, and other drawings in Weber in line with the relevant WCM principles; Maintenance and upoholding all applicable legislation.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diploma in Engineering or a minimum of an N3 engineering qualification.
  • Millwright Trade
  • Atleast 5 Years relevant experience within manufacturing / plant environment
  • Be able to use interprete and understand WinCC flow charts
  • Be able to understand PLC I/Os to assist in fault finding
  • Siemens,Danfoss and ABB variable speed drive experience
  • Electrical, Hydraulic and Pnuematic experience.
  • Roller and belt Conveyor systems
  • Apprenticeship trained
  • Demonstrate an understanding on the EWO and Kaizen methodologies
Additional Requirements
  • Regularly conduct plant inspections (tasks list and schedules).
  • Develop works instructions through own and subordinates input to standardize tasks spare requirements following the WCM guidelines.
  • Ensure no repeat failures on equipment as a result of the maintenance team
  • Identify critical spare requirements and report to the maintenance manager
  • Attending to plant electrical and mechanical breakdowns
  • Ensuring that work is conducted in accordance with the safety regulations.
  • Advising the maintenance manager on any risks or improvements required for all equipment
  • Shift work
  • Project work
  • Replacing defective machine parts or adjusting clearances and alignment of moving parts
  • Dismantle machines, using hammers, wrenches, crowbars, and other hand tools.
  • Shrink-fit bushings, sleeves, rings, liners, gears, and wheels to specified items, using portable gas heating equipment.
  • safety and equipment inspections (gearboxes, compressors, mixers, bagging machines)
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and detailed repair drawings related to equipment and machine
  • Lead, coach and develop self and apprentices in training in order to increase their capability, commitment, drive and performance output so that the organization reaches its objectives, executes its strategies and progresses towards its vision. In addition, as a means of achieving the aforementioned, create an environment built on trust, open and transparent communication, innovation and pro-active behaviours.
  • Assist with training, coaching, upgrading and general development of subordinates.
  • Enforce WCM principles onto subordinates and use WCM tools daily as Millwright - Lead by example
  • Maintain a high standard of time management of self and subordinates
