As a Business Analyst, you'll join a collaborative and forward-thinking team based in South Africa.




The Business Analyst/ Product Manager is a key role in Nexi Payments and is accountable to drive efficiency and operational improvements by defining the business solution, obtaining system alignment, and optimization of current and future business application functionality.


The role is also responsible for analysing requests or requirements for applications in order to determine the impact on the business as a singular and integrated system. Continuous and applied research on global financial market trends in the payment, settlement and securities environment is vital for this role.




About Your Future Role (Business and Product manager)



as Business Analyst, you will:



Analyse and clarify requests or requirements in order to agree on the business solution with the end-user Define and document User Stories and their related acceptance criteria Create user interface mock-ups and wireframes as part of the requirements specification documentation Create UML use cases, activity diagrams, and functional specifications from business requirements Guide the development effort by conveying the end user's vision to the software factory Bridging the gap between the end-user, business stakeholder and development team Participate in technical design sessions, working with technical resources, to provide insight during solution development Participates in the daily Scrums, Sprint Planning Meetings and Sprint Reviews and Retrospectives. Participate in technical design sessions, working with technical resources, to provide insight during solution development Inspects the product progress at the end of every Sprint and has complete authority to accept or reject work done Demonstrate the system to the end-user after each iteration Input on creation of user manuals and other training-related material Assist in creating test cases when needed Train end users on the applications Assist in system acceptance testing and troubleshooting Act as a user liaison to resolve system issues and write reports according to user or management requests Defining and standardising field-level validation rules in keeping with accepted standards, i.e. SWIFT Ensure quality assurance of applications

as Product Manager, you will:



1) Product Management



Create and maintain the product backlog. This includes agreeing on the prioritization of items with the end-users. Input on the Business Case on new project for both existing and new clients through liaison with Software Factory and Project Management Team Play a consulting and subject matter expert role for exisiting and new clients within the payments market and infrastructure environment Critical input into the Project Management implementation in liaison with the Project Management Team

2) Sales Support



Analysing and responding to customer requirements in RFP/RFIs Recommend viable enhancements on the system in line with customer requirements/market trends on an ongoing basis Preparing presentations and demonstrations to potential customers

3) Customer Support



Providing business solution documents in line with change requests from customers Ensuring the correct functionality and new requirements is delivered to customers in the correct releases Discussing project and production customer change requests Attending to customer functional issues such as scope issues and queries Probing the clients through constant interactions to understand satisfaction on current product offering and gain understanding of future need

4) Research



Conduct and apply research on global financial market trends in the payments, settlement and securities environment Understand and apply the role of the monetary policy on Central Banks' national payment system strategy Attain and apply sound knowledge of operational, settlement, credit and interest rate risks within financial markets Business process review and re-engineering with supporting documentation of new business processes

Essential Qualifications:



B.Sc. degree in Computer Science / Engineering / B. Com degree in Economics, Postgraduate degree preferable

Technical Skills (must have):



Business writing and presentation Excellent communication with customers and prospect

Bonus Skills (highly recommended):



Payments Systems experience Proficient in modeling and UML Enterprise Architect System analysis and design experience Ability to focus on underlying problems and find solutions to them Business and technological skills and acumen A strong understanding of client dynamics and requirements A strong understanding of solution design software applications SWIFT experience (preferable)
