Job Description

To support hospital management and the clinical team in providing quality health and maintaining high care standards in the facility. The successful delivery of the role outputs requires the ability to work shifts and / after-hours work and calls.

REQUIREMENTS



Minimum Qualifications



MBChB/MBBCh or equivalent Degree. Registration with HPCSA as a medical practitioner in Independent Practice.

Minimum Experience:



5 Years post registration in Independent Practice with the HPCSA 5 years' experience as a Medical Officer in a health facility after Community Service. Proven knowledge of and experience of Medical Ethics. Proven sound clinical experience with regards to the practice of medicine as a general practitioner.

Added Advantage:



A Certificate qualification in all or any of the following, ACLS, APLS or ATLS.

DELIVERABLES:





Provide medical and clinical advisory and support services to contribute to efficient hospital management Build working relationships across teams and functional lines to enhance work delivery Develop an enabling team culture and build and maintain a capable and high-performance team Manage the financial integrity and processes of area of responsibility Manage reporting, risk, and governance processes and controls Provide support to Hospital management to ensure the effective an efficient quality and standard of patient care and services is maintained. Support and maintain the aims and objectives of CHG with regards to standard of patient care, Management of patients admitted in wards on behalf of the admitting specialist through assisting surgeons in theatre, including ICU, and doing calls in Emergency Unit/ Casualty as and when required. Ensure the safe, efficient, and effective delivery of medical services. Manage and deal with all medical emergencies. Participate in and provide input to Clinical audits. Undertake and participate in continuous professional development. Develop and maintain effective communication with specialists in the hospital. * Provide oversight on legal, safety compliance processes
