Your typical day in a radiology environment includes:
Working closely with the rest of the team to provide superior diagnostic and interventional services.

Minimum Requirements:
Grade 12
Some Short/On-line courses completed on self- development and soft skills: Customer Service, Effective Communication, Conflict Management, Planning & Time-Management, Emotional Intelligence, Problem Solving, Workplace Etiquette, Ethics, Teamwork, Wellness,
Intermediate Skills on MS Office
1-2 years in a medical environment
Previous experience in Radiology environment is beneficial
Attention to detail, high level of accuracy
Knowledge of medical aid and PMB rules as well as POPI Act regulations for healthcare will be beneficial
Ability to build and maintain good relations with colleagues and all stakeholders
Own transport essential
Main Responsibilities:
Acknowledge all patients and referring physicians with warmth and friendliness, showing empathy where needed
Manage administrative tasks, calls, visitors, diaries/invitations etc. that support the overall effectiveness of the radiology team.
Assist in resolving telephonic enquiries.
Always remain vigilant and mindful of referring physicians and regularly give feedback / updates to them
Screen the telephone calls for the Doctors
Contact referring doctors on behalf of the Radiologist when required.
Update the notice board with weekly roster and call allocations as well as notices or invitations for the Radiologist's attention
Remind the Radiologist of changes on the roster if updated one is put up, also of meetings arranged for Linksfield or applicable to the Radiologists.
Arrange breakfast, lunch and beverages for the Radiologists
Order and manage beverage stock and office stationery
Reports should be delivered, faxed or emailed to referring doctors and wards as applicable to Doctor preference
Liaise with Authorisations office on any code changes
Details on the job cards should be checked, corrected and errors reported to the TL
WCA: Confirm area of imaging corresponds to the area indicated on WCA form and 1st medical - flag for TL if not
Assist with the handling of complaints
Assist in resolving telephonic enquiries
Assist with marketing and public relations tasks
Maintain a neat and tidy office throughout the day
Make sure the telephone lists are up to date
Manage and organize CPD meetings
Work hand in hand with the Radiography and Reception Team Leader as well as Head Office staff to ensure an efficient and affective workflow between all departments
Build and maintain, good collaborative and professional relationships and communication with all staff and stakeholders
Ensure that your behaviour contributes to a friendly, harmonious and professional culture in the department
Take responsibility for your continuous growth in knowledge, work and soft skills
Ensure you understand the POPI Act legislation, the protection of the disclosure of information of our patients / members and our own staff members and the impact thereof on our practice
Maintain strict confidentiality at all times
Perform other appropriate tasks and responsibilities assigned within the scope of your job function, knowledge, skills, and abilities to ensure the effective and efficient running of your department
Hours of Work:
Shift rotation on a weekly basis:
Monday to Friday: 08h00 - 17h00; 08h30 - 17h30
Shift rotation on weekends:
Saturday morning: 08h00 - 13h00 (1 in 2 weeks)
