Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and innovative Mechatronic Engineer to join our team, focused on the design, maintenance, and optimization of underground mining machinery. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the reliability, automation, and safety of our underground operations through advanced mechatronic systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop integrated mechanical, electrical, and control systems for underground mining equipment.
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and improve machinery performance in challenging underground environments.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, electrical, and automation engineers.
- Ensure compliance with industry safety and operational standards.
- Assist in the implementation of automation and remote monitoring systems.
- Conduct root cause analysis on equipment failures and recommend preventive solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechatronic Engineering or related field.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs, and embedded systems.
- Proven experience with mining equipment such as drills, loaders, and haulage systems.
- Ability to work underground and adapt to harsh working conditions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
