A Food factory based in Phoenix Industrial Park, Durban currently invites applications for the position of Mechanical fitter/maintenance technician.
Job brief
We are looking for an experienced mechanical fitter to join our production team at our sweet manufacturing facility in Phoenix Industrial Park. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing and installing mechanical equipment to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our production lines
Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on production machinery
Trouble shoot mechanical faults and minimize downtime
Assist in installation, set up and alignment
Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards
Requirements
Mechanical fitter qualification
Minimum 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment (Food industry experience advantageous)
Strong problem solving and mechanical skills
Assist with breakdowns if required
