Manufacturing Project Engineer - East LondonJob SummaryLead/manage technical / engineering aspects of projects from concept / design to commissioning / start-up and handover of engineering projectsHe/She would be responsible for adherence to production processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.Improve productivity, reduce waste, and ensuring that products meet customer specifications.Work closely with different disciplines within the organization to form project matricesKey Responsibilities Areas:Planning and Execution:Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including vendors, procurement, construction and plant operationsMonitor project progress and identify potential risks and issues.Implement solutions to overcome challenges and keep projects on track.Technical Expertise:Ensure projects adhere to engineering principles, safety regulations, and industry best practices.Conduct site inspections and quality control checks.Communication and Collaboration:Effectively communicate project status, progress, and issues to stakeholders.Build and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers.Facilitate collaboration among team members and ensure clear communication.Documentation and Reporting:Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including plans, drawings, and reports.Prepare progress reports and presentations for management and clients.Process Optimization:Analyse production processes to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies.Develop and implement solutions to improve productivity, reduce costs, and minimize waste.Conduct time and motion studies to optimize workflows and equipment utilization.Equipment and Machinery:Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of production equipment to increase MTBFTroubleshoot equipment malfunctions and reduce MTTR.Implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and ensure equipment reliability.Adherence to quality control standards and procedures to produce goods to specificationsAssist in investigation and resolution of quality issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions.Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry best practices.Support production personnel on safety procedures and equipment operation.Quality Control:Safety and Compliance:Outcome:Deliver project as per quality standards on time and in budget without compromising safety.Deliver AOP for manufacturingLEADERSHIP COMPETENCIES:Depth of technical knowledgeStakeholder ManagementCritical thinking and troubleshooting skills. Conflict handling and resolution Attention to detail and analytical thinking Report writing and presentation skills Design techniques, tools and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings and models. Project Engineering/management. Process design and equipment selection. Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques of maximizing effective manufacture of goods Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skillsStrong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamProficiency in ERP (SAP R/4) and / or Microsoft Project or other Project Monitoring SoftwareQualifications B.Tech or BSc. Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering minimum of 2 years in Mechanical/ Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering environment PMP Qualification would be an added advantageLSS Certification would be an added advantage
