Job Summary DUTIES: xe2x80xa2Provide leadership and guidance towards the realization of strategic goals and objectives of the medical division. Demonstrate effective communication and report writing. xe2x80xa2Adhere to the minimum norms and standards as set by the Department of Social Development. xe2x80xa2 Ensure compliance with current healthcare regulations, medical laws and all SANCA Pretoria protocols. xe2x80xa2 Manage medical waste, ensure safe environment and that safety precautions are taken. xe2x80xa2 Handle all medical emergencies. xe2x80xa2 Ensure that medication is correctly ordered, received, recorded and stored. xe2x80xa2Liaise and function well in a multi- disciplinary team. xe2x80xa2 Deal with disciplinary and grievance matters within the unit. . xe2x80xa2Keep track of medical equipment and manage inventory. xe2x80xa2Ensure patient records are up-to-date and accurate. xe2x80xa2Willing to travel locally. REQUIREMENTS: xe2x80xa2 Degree/Diploma in nursing (preferably Degree/ Diploma in Nursing Administration/Psychiatry) xe2x80xa2Must be registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional nurse. xe2x80xa2Minimum of 15-years appropriate experience in nursing. xe2x80xa2At least 5 years managerial exp. xe2x80xa2 Knowledge on addiction/ dependency. xe2x80xa2Post-grad qualification in Management will be an advantage. xe2x80xa2Must reside close to SANCA Pta (10-15km radius). xe2x80xa2Should be able to work under pressure. xe2x80xa2Strong interpersonal & communication skills. xe2x80xa2Code 8 Driver's license. xe2x80xa2Computer literate.
