We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager, Finance to join our team in Johannesburg, South Africa. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head of Finance in designing, producing, and reviewing financial reports, insights, and analytics to enable strategic decision-making across the organisation.
Oversee the production and analysis of comprehensive financial reports, including Income Statements, Balance Sheets, and other non-financial information
Collaborate with Financial Managers and the Reporting team to deliver high-quality, impactful business reports that meet agreed standards, formats, and timelines
Provide strategic insights and recommendations to support the achievement of business objectives across various units, clients, and sectors
Develop and implement financial strategies to optimise organisational performance and drive growth
Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal control procedures
Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes, providing valuable input and analysis
Liaise with external auditors and stakeholders as required
Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost optimisation initiatives
Qualifications
First degree in Business Commerce or a related field; professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) is highly desirable
5-7 years of experience in a similar finance management role, preferably within a corporate environment
Proven expertise in financial insights and analytics, with a strong background in finance and value management
Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff
Advanced proficiency in financial software, tools, and Microsoft Excel
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail
In-depth knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements in South Africa
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Strong organisational and time management skills
