Management Couple - Clanwilliam, WCManagement couple xe2x80x93 Alpha Excelsior Guest FarmAlpha Excelsior, a family run guest farm in the Northern Cederberg, is looking for an experienced and energetic live in management couple to lead our dynamic team, in both the guest house and restaurant departments.The guest farm welcome nature, hiking, climbing, bouldering, birding and holiday guests from all over the world into a warm homely atmosphere with exceptional service and comfortable/ yet rustic accommodation of a high standard. We offer healthy delicious meals, our own produced red wines, extra virgin olive oil and table olives while highlighting the rich cultural and natural heritage the area has to offer.Requirements:- Minimum of 2 years hotel, guest house or other similar management positions within the hospitality industry is essential.- Proven experience in general and human resource management.- Strong understanding of Business management, financial management and leadership principals.- Experience in food preparation and serving.- Excellent communication skills.- Excellent leadership skills with a hands-on approach and leading by example.- Commitment to exceptional guest service with a passion for the hospitality industry.- General admin skills.- Broad spectrum of maintenance skills from welding to plumbing to grounds maintenance and upkeep.- Must be willing to work hospitality hours and be flexible.- Knowledge of fruit, vegetable and herb gardening.- Must speak English and Afrikaans. Any other languages are beneficial.- Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft office, Word, Excel etc. Knowledge ofNightsbridge property management system as well as partner websites such as Booking.com,Airbnb, Lekkerslaap and others.- Understanding of POS systems.- Ability to Identify problems and trends and develop effective solutions and strategies.- Must love animals. We are farm with lots of dogs, cats, donkeys and chickens.- Valid code 8 driverxe2x80x99s license with own vehicle.- Valid RSA ID.- No dependents or pets- Solid track record with sober habits and contactable references.- Proven track record of working together as a team for longer than a year.Responsibilities- Handling booking requests/reservations management and guest liaison.- Management and coordinating daily restaurant, housekeeping, landscaping and maintenance operations, ensuring the highest standard of cleanliness and comfort.- Preparing guests accounts and handling payments.- Restaurant management: Overseeing and assisting with maintaining a clean and organised environment adhering to health and safety regulations including recycling, pest control and general waste management, care of operating equipment.- Working front of house at the restaurant and filling in where needed e.g.: making coffees, waiting tables etc.- Explore and identify new marketing and booking channels.- Planning and executing menus ensuring fantastic quality and presentation.- Managing storeroom, ordering stock, full stock takes and stock control.- Staff management and training, motivating and coaching employees to provide attentive, efficient service to customers.- Training staff in the use of POS systems and identifying other training needs within all the departments.- Preparing and communicating weekly/monthly staff shifts and work programme and keeping records of timesheets, tea breaks, lunch breaks and overtime.- Inventory control of guest units and restaurant- Undertake, manage and assist with maintenance when required.- Management of the Restaurant vegetable tunnels.- Resolving complaints from customers and employees.- Establish and achieve business objectives.- Generating reports and presenting information monthly.- Daily sales, turnover, cash ups.- Checking and reporting all required maintenance work.- Making use of POS systems to full capacity.- Ensuring staff members follow company policies and procedures.- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety standards.- Marketing through social media.Remuneration package:Includes fully furnished (no oven only gas stove top, and no washing machine) one bedroom cottage with back up solar power, Wi-Fi, shower, hot water fenced private garden and covered parking.R20000 to R25000 combined based on experience.Work hours will be shift based of 21 days on, then 7 days off.
