Management Accountant Finance

Our client, in the retail and wholesale industry, has an exciting opportunity available for a Management Accountant who has a flair for numbers & is able to work in the plant & closely with operations.

• A logical, mathematical thinker who pays particular attention to detail
• Proficient in accounting & reporting
• A good knowledge of stock control & stock transactions in a large, high-volume business
• Ability to multi-task & to work in a pressurized & deadline-driven operating environment
• Excellent organizational & planning skills with good attention to detail

Requirements:

• Completed Articles
• Bachelor of Commerce
• 5 years' experience in a similar role
• Experience in manufacturing

Key Performance Areas:

• Accurate reporting of sales, gross profit, production, & trading stock numbers & sundry stock
• Analyse large volumes of transactional data & prepare accurate reports for management
• Attend the fortnightly stock count & identify weaknesses in the count process
• Drive best practices to reduce stock count variances
• Prepare a stock count variance report & provide guidance to operations staff for investigation
• Monitor processes & procedures followed by admin & operations staff, by identifying errors in the data & performing walkthroughs. Advise management of repeated errors
• Provide software support to the users of the various business software systems
• Manage the various business software systems & identify software errors & areas for improvement
• Liaise with programmers & manage corrections & implementations to ensure timeous & accurate resolution
