Position: Maintenance Manager
Location: Piet Retief
Overview:
Our client is seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee the complete maintenance function at their Sawmill facility in Piet Retief.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement an effective maintenance strategy for the Sawmill.
- Ensure that planned maintenance and statutory maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with the maintenance plan.
- Maintain a Preventative Maintenance Program.
- Perform maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, and repairs of mechanical and electrical equipment to minimize downtime.
- Evaluate and implement solutions for maintenance and operational problems.
- Provide technical support for complex issues beyond the scope of technicians.
- Ensure regular training of Maintenance personnel to meet Sawmill requirements.
- Procure parts and services cost-effectively while adhering to Health, Safety, and Environmental Policies.
- Maintain regulatory compliance for equipment.
- Manage project delivery within agreed budgets and timelines.
- Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Degree/Diploma or Certified Engineer (GCC).
- 8-10 years of experience in maintenance management within the industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team of artisans.
- Effective communication and time management skills.
- Capacity to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and thrive under pressure.
- Enthusiastic, results-oriented, and driven to achieve goals.
