highly experienced, qualified, and hands-on Maintenance Manager
to oversee and manage all maintenance operations across our
Private Game Reserve
. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that infrastructure, facilities, and staff accommodation are maintained to the highest operational, safety, and conservation standards
Minimum Requirements
Minimum
10 years' experience
in maintenance management within a
hospitality, lodge, or game reserve environment
Relevant technical qualification or trade certification
(Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, Refrigeration, or similar - essential)
Proven experience managing multiple facilities or sites
Strong technical and problem-solving skills
Strong leadership and people management ability
Valid driver's licence
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage all maintenance activities across the reserve, including lodges, camps, staff villages, and operational facilities
Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules
Lead and supervise maintenance teams and contractors
Manage maintenance budgets, stock control, and procurement
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and statutory regulations
Oversee electrical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, boreholes, water purification system, fleet (Safari Vehicle - Puma Land Rovers) and general building maintenance
Conduct regular inspections and proactively address maintenance risks
Support lodge management to ensure minimal impact on guest experience
* Prepare maintenance reports and contribute to capital expenditure planning
