Job Description
Our Client, in the FMCG / Wheat industry, is seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join their team as Maintenance Fitter, based in Bellville, Cape Town.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be willing to work on rotating shifts and public holidays
- Qualified Fitter
- Minimum 3 years' experience after qualification
- Valid South African driver's license
- Own reliable transport
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, pneumatics, gear boxes, couplings etc.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving maintenance issues
- Good understanding of safety regulations and procedures
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Computer literate
- Reside in Northern Suburbs of Cape Town
- Must be able to work independently
- Must be a team player
- Provide a police clearance certificate
- Provide medical certificate
- Rotating shifts including weekends and public holidays
- Focusing on preventative maintenance and breakdowns while on shift
- Coordinate with production to complete maintenance activities during shifts without disrupting production
- Provide technical guidance and training to maintenance assistants to enhance their skills and knowledge
- Maintain maintenance stores and workshop
- Do daily tool checks and tool inspections
- Record all tasks done and spares used on Pragma
