Machine Shop Robotics Engineer

Job Description
We are seeking a competent motivated person to ensure machine processes and automation is optimised and maintained.
Key Performance Areas
- Programming and optimization for all robotic/gantry requirements (KUKA, FANUC and PROMOT
- Debug any robotic programming and equipment
- CNC Communication, interfacing and implementation
- CNC Robotic Cell Automation and Maintenance
- Knowledge and understanding of Vision Systems and implementation of the system
- Knowledge and understanding of PLC interfaces (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Beckhoff)
- Tertiary education in the field of Engineering either ND or B-Tech (non-negotiable)
- Qualified trade tested Artisan an advantage
- 5 Years robotics experience with regards to programming, commissioning, fault finding and implementation of any robotics application
- Programming experience in Gantry and PLC integrated systems
- Understanding and program of Vision Systems and Distortion machines
- Computer literate
- Daily cycle time optimization
- Introducing new wheels and tooling
- Continuous improvement in production
- Production / Technical support
- Good decision making and organisational skills essential
- Ability to work under pressure
- Excellent attendance and impeccable disciplinary record
- Good people skills and willing to learn
- Willing to travel local and abroad
- Willing to work extended hours when required
