Job Summary Requirements:

• National Diploma in Logistics or equivalent.

• Logistics experience in a manufacturing concern is essential.
• Minimum of 5 years Supervisory experience is essential.

• Minimum of 5 years ERP experience in a logistics environment.
• Bar Coding experience.
• Must be competent in Excel, at least at an intermediate level.
• Analytical problem-solving ability.
• Able to work well under pressure.
• Must be prepared to complete an assessment and interview process.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day logistic aspects of the Companyxe2x80x99s material requirements.
• Plan, manage and control the timeous receiving, warehousing and distributing of all incoming, internal and outgoing materials.
• Responsible for running all aspects of the stores to deliver all stock/materials in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring demand is met and all procedures are followed.
• Supervise the activities of workers engaged in receiving and storing products or materials.
• Ensure procedures are followed and production demand is met.
• Responsible for accuracy of all stock movements and correct recording of such.
• Responsible for all administrative functions and liaison with production.
• Attend Production meetings as required.
• Improve operational efficiencies.
• Effective daily, weekly and monthly reporting on logistics function.
• Responsible for Health and Safety in respect to material handling, storage, equipment, facilities and employees.
• Supervision of staff xe2x80x93 stores personnel, material control, re-work area, scrap sorting and sales and forklift drivers.
• Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained.
• Communicate effectively with other workers to direct personal workflow.
• Other duties as deemed necessary and requested by the Manager.
