We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Administrator to join our legal team at Sumer Law, working in a hybrid model based at the 123 Consulting office in Johannesburg.
You will collaborate closely with colleagues in the UK to support our Corporate and Employment Solicitors with a wide range of administrative and legal duties.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with onboarding of new clients, including KYC (Know Your Customer) checks and documentation
Prepare and manage engagement letters and billing support documentation
Maintain and update client files and legal databases
Liaise with clients regarding documentation and scheduling
Support the team with general administrative tasks and coordination
Draft board minutes and assist with transaction-related documentation
Assist in the preparation of legal correspondence and reports
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Demonstratable experience within a professional services/legal environment within an administrative role
Understanding of KYC and client onboarding processes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
A proactive mindset
