Coordinate teaching activities across three central academic hospitals:
+ Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital (CHBAH)
+ Helen Joseph Hospital (HJH)
+ Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital (CMJAH)
...as well as at various affiliated and future teaching sites within the extended academic platform. Monitor, evaluate, and ensure consistency in clinical teaching standards across all platforms.
Collaborate with academic and clinical staff to support the effective delivery of undergraduate medical education.
Conduct and publish
qualitative research
related to clinical education and teaching initiatives within Internal Medicine and the
Unit for Undergraduate Medical Education (UUME)
.
Assist in capturing and analysing data from the GEMP teaching programmes to inform best practices and contribute to the scholarship of teaching and learning.
Minimum Requirements:
At least
2 years of post-medical registrar clinical experience
.
Full, independent registration with the
Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA)
.
Experience in medical education and/or clinical teaching will be advantageous.
