Job Purpose:
Lecturing and academic delivery to ensure students are guided and supported in their learning to achieve module outcomes

Preferred Education:
Ideal:
BIS Hons or Masters in Multimedia, BA Hons or Masters in Digital or Interaction Design, Digital Arts or Digital Technologies with portfolio to demonstrate HTML5 and CSS3 and JavaScript skills.
OR
BIS Hons or Masters in Multimedia, BA Hons or Masters in Digital Design, Game Design or Digital Arts with knowledge of designing for Mixed Reality

Alternatively:
NQF 8 or higher degree in a cognate field with extensive knowledge, experience and a portfolio to demonstrate web and mobile front-end development skills, including Html5, CSS3 and Javascript
OR
BA Hons or Masters in a cognate field with knowledge and experience of designing for Mixed Reality

Work Experience
Minimum 3 years industry or teaching experience PLUS portfolio in web design using web coding languages such as Html5 and CSS3 and JavaScript and Design Systems OR At least 3 years industry experience in digital design or game design, including using industry standard platforms and technology to create mixed reality simulations.

Key Performance Areas:

Preparation and lecturing as per the Module Guide

Teaching curriculum outcomes as per contract hours and stipulated per pre agreed timetable

Briefing students for assignments and providing feedback in a timeous manner

Presenting class marks and feedback to the MODULE DISCIPLINE LEADER and discuss appropriate interventions for improved student success

Actively engaging with current trends in teaching and learning strategies within The IIE VEGA environment.
