Learning and Development Coordinator

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM THE ROLE
The
Learning & Development (L&D) Coordinator
supports the delivery and management of training programmes to enhance employee growth. Key duties include organising learning events, managing logistics, maintaining accurate training records, and ensuring compliance with policies and legal requirements.
WHAT THE ROLE ENTAILS
Learning Administration
-Provide administrative support in planning, coordinating, and delivering training programmes.
-Maintain accurate training records, including attendance, certifications, and costs.
-Process/Capture training-related documentation such as attendance registers, feedback forms, and invoices.
-Generate certificates for completed in-house training sessions.
Learning Event Coordination
-Schedule and coordinate internal and external learning events.
-Organise logistical arrangements such as venues, travel, and catering.
-Prepare and distribute training materials (e.g., learner manuals and presentations).
-Set up training rooms and ensure technical equipment is operational.
Facilitation
-Deliver training sessions or workshops as needed, focusing on in-house programmes and employee onboarding.
-Engage participants effectively to ensure knowledge transfer and skill development.
-Adapt facilitation techniques to suit various learning styles and levels.
Compliance and Reporting
-Ensure all training activities comply with organisational policies and legal requirements.
-Assist in the preparation of reports for audits and management, including SETA and BBBEE documentation.
-Support the L&D Manager in evaluating the alignment of training programmes with business objectives.
Requirements
Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Education, or a related field.
2-4 years of experience in a learning and development or administrative role.
Proficiency in MS Office and experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
Valid Code EB drivers' licence.
Facilitation Certification.
Proven experience of training facilitation and delivery.
SKILLS, ATTRIBUTES AND COMPETENCIES
Strong organisational and project management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Familiarity with training frameworks, including SETA and Skills Development compliance.
Problem-solving and analytical thinking
