Lead Project Manager (subsea Drilling Equipment)
Job Description
Our client, a prestigious turnkey engineering and steel fabrication company, seeks to employ a qualified and experienced Lead Project Manager, with a solid background in Subsea Drilling Equipment or related field, to join their team in Cape Town.
Please note that this is a specialized senior role, specifically focused on subsea drilling equipment recertification, overhaul and repair, as well as acting as technical authority, ensuring consistency with company strategy, cost control, people management and project deployment management.
KEY REQUIREMENTS TO MEET FOR CONSIDERATION
- You will have a B-Tech or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, with a project management certification, coupled with 8-10 years in the management of subsea or mining drill equipment.
- You will have a good understanding of the oil & gas related technical requirements, as well as working on rectification/overhaul and repair of marine and subsea equipment, to include inspection and evaluation and site surveys
- You will have prior experience in managing department planning and compiling budgets, cost control and material control
- You must have proven experience of industry related specifications such as ASME, API, etc
- You will have proven people management skills, being able to motivate, develop and lead a team of professionals to provide excellent service to clients.
- Software proficiency in MS Office advanced, as well as MS Projects and SolidWorks
- You must have a valid driverxe2x80x99s licence, own car and a clear criminal and credit record
