Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Conceptualize, design, and develop mechanical systems and components for armored vehicles
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, structural engineers, and manufacturing engineers, to ensure seamless integration of mechanical designs
• Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to create 3D models, detailed drawings, and specifications
• Perform engineering calculations, simulations, and analysis to validate and optimize designs
• Conduct design reviews and provide technical feedback to improve designs and ensure compliance with performance, safety, and regulatory requirements
• Participate in prototype development, testing, and validation, and provide support during production and assembly stages
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, materials, and manufacturing processes to incorporate innovative solutions into design concepts
• Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to select appropriate components and materials for the armored vehicle designs
• Generate comprehensive documentation, including design reports, bill of materials, and manufacturing instructions

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in the automotive or defense industry with a focus on armored vehicles
• Proficiency in CAD software, such as SolidWorks, CATIA, or AutoCAD
• Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes
• Familiarity with structural analysis, kinematics, and dynamics
• Understanding of regulatory standards and requirements in the defense industry, such as MIL-STD and ISO
• Experience in design validation and testing, including familiarity with testing methodologies and equipment
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to propose innovative solutions
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
