Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Receiving and recording samples for quality work as per predetermined specifications. Distribute samples to different labs for analysis within quality standards. Responsible for well-prepared calibration standards and quality control for all instruments. Timeous completion of transfer checks and report calculation results. Conduct analysis on advanced instrumentation. Compile, implement and validate test methods Compile quality control charts to confirm the accuracy of and performance of instruments. Timeous completion of transfer checks and reporting of results Assess chemical stock levels and control stationary orders for scientific services. Ensure instruments are calibrated and perform accurately Execute quality work as per predetermined quality standards. Record and report accurate results in compliance with ISO/IEC 17025:2017 Perform any other related duties as required from time to time. Observe all Health and Safety protocols and procedures.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

National Diploma in Analytical Chemistry. Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Lab Technician Chemistry. 1 year experience in an accredited laboratory (operation and maintenance of specialized instrumentation). Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025:2017 Competent in MS Office. Report writing skills. * Valid Drivers' License.
