Job Description

Routine Analysis:
Perform raw material-, in process- and final product analysis according to sampling schedule, and utilizing the approved method of analysisEnsure that all routine samples according to sample schedule are analyzed, within allocated time frames Where more than 1 test needs to be conducted at a time, ensure that all tasks receive the required focus In all cases use specified analytical techniques, including auto-titration where required Ensure sample integrity is maintained throughout the preparation and testing process Ensure accurate calculation of analytical results Communicate to the Supervisor/Quality Manger if any deviations occur Maintain retention samples as required Maintenance and cleaning of laboratory glassware, equipment and/or work area

Special Analysis:Perform all special analysis deemed necessary from day to day to assist in plant operations, in line with the requirements stated under "Routine Analysis" assist in all improvement projects where analytics are required.

Reporting of Results:Accurate recording and prompt reporting of results into the computer Laboratory Information Management System with all paper-based quality control sheets, and ensure that product status is promptly communicated to Production. Where required, verbal communication of the results to Production personnel is carried out Report all deviations and computer errors to the Lab Supervisor/Quality Manager

Laboratory EH&S:Carry out reasonable instructions of Laboratory Supervisor / Quality Manager or Emergency Personnel in the event of an emergency Maintain good laboratory practices at all times Wear required PPE at all times, and report unsafe conditions Ensure safe handling and storage of chemicals to prevent spillages or contamination of other chemicals

Ad-hoc Duties:Any other responsibilities that Management may allocate to you

This position entails Shift work.
