Supervision of the Quality Control department
Supervision of the QC lab and staff
Supervision and Verification of online product and packaging tests ensuring conformance to internal specifications, customer and regulatory requirements

Raising of Internal NCRxe2x80x99s, investigating root cause and enforcing corrective actions
Investigation of root cause for consumer complaints
Food Safety/Health & Safety
Internal Auditing xe2x80x93 conducts routine GMP audits
Enforces Food Safety compliance on shop floor, food defense, housekeeping, food fraud
Enforces Health and Safety compliance (assessments, toolbox talks, ladder and eye wash inspections)

Enforces Good Hygiene Practices
Enforces Plant Sanitation Practices and good housekeeping
Enforces Good Manufacturing Practices ensuring conformance with manufacturing requirements
Traceability and Recall xe2x80x93 executing mock recalls
Water Quality Management and generating trends for internal testing on effluent and treated water
Supervision of the Laundry Program
Enforces Retention Sampling, Managing the retention sample bay
Enforces Change Management Control
Chemical Management
Supervises the issuing of chemicals
Ensures that chemicals are approved and certified for relevant use
Other Duties
Quality Lab Inventory Control, purchasing of consumables
Over sees trials for new packaging and completes trial reports
Weight Verification checks for sugar and preforms
Admin duties xe2x80x93 time sheets, attendance registers, groceries, stationary, staff leave
Adherence to the Quality, Food Safety, Health, Safety and Environmental Standards
Adherence to Standards: Ensure strict adherence to Quality, Food, Health, Safety and Environmental policies and standards.
Enforcement: Enforce all food safety and health regulations, policies, and requirements at all times to guarantee a secure work environment.
Personal Hygiene: Maintain exceptional personal hygiene as per the organizationxe2x80x99s code of conduct.
Contamination Control: Raise awareness about potential physical product contamination and implement control measures to prevent it.
Health and Safety Measures: Take reasonable precautions to prevent health and safety hazards. Follow the prescribed incident reporting procedure in case of accidents.
Knowledge and Compliance: Stay updated with relevant business information, policies, processes, and procedures. Enforce compliance with legislative and statutory requirements, as well as GMPxe2x80x99s (Good Manufacturing Practices).
Training: Attend and enforce the implementation of learnings from training sessions related to Quality, Food Safety, and Health and Safety.
Housekeeping: Maintain high levels of cleanliness and orderliness within the work environment.
General
Responsible to ensure housekeeping is performed and ensure that all products and activities are stored and are executed within the demarcated areas according to the housekeeping policy (green red and yellow areas)
Conversant with relevant business information, policies, processes and procedures
Maintains expected performance standards

Qualifications and Experience
Grade 12 / Matric / NQF level 4 (Essential)
Upto 4 years experience (Operational Execution) Supervisory; FMCG
