We are looking for a Kitchen Manager to join our team at Lust Bistro & Bakery
Your Key Responsibilities Will Be:
Staff Management:
Hire, train, schedule, and supervise kitchen crew; motivate team to meet performance standards.
Operations & Workflow:
Streamline processes, manage food prep and cooking, ensure timely service, and handle daily operations.
Inventory Control:
Order supplies, manage stock, monitor usage, minimize waste, and conduct regular inventory checks.
Quality & Safety:
Ensure food quality, proper plating, portion control, and strict adherence to health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
Financials:
Track kitchen costs, manage budgets, and work with management on pricing to meet profitability goals.
Menu & Menu Engineering:
Collaborate on menu development, update recipes, and price items.
Monthly Stocktake:
End of month stocktakes are mandatory and important to complete on a timely manner.
Essential Skills:
Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager, Head Chef, or similar role (2 years minimum).
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Knowledge of recipes, food preparation, and culinary techniques.
Expert understanding of food safety, hygiene, and health regulations.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Salary is negotiable.
