Tertiary qualification in chemistry or related qualification is preferred but not essential for the role.
Previous key account or product management sales experience promoting speciality and commodity raw materials into the decorative, automotive and industrial coatings manufacturing industry is preferred for the role.
The successful candidate must have a strong commercial drive, analytical mindset and good interpersonal skills.
Proven track record of managing strategic accounts and achieving sales targets.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Driving new business development as well as manage all key accounts and principals on a national basis within the decorative, automotive and industrial coatings and related manufacturing markets.
Maximizing profitability, controlling working capital, growing the portfolio and achieving budgetary objectives for your selected product portfolio.
Managing principals and introducing new product ranges, concepts and applications to the market.
Providing technical assistance to customers on a range of products.
Presenting and driving a business plan which will include strategies and sales forecasts for annual budgets.
Managing stock forecasts, debtor and working capital.
Presenting reports to senior management.
Building strong relationships with technical and commercial stakeholders at client organisations.
Providing expert technical advice and commercial solutions on coatings raw materials.
Collaborating with R&D and technical service teams to resolve complex technical issues.
Representing the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and customer meetings.
