Role Overview





We're looking for an experienced and passionate

Key Account Manager

to join our dynamic South African Enterprise Sales team. This role is for a proactive sales professional who wants to make a significant impact. You'll go beyond simply managing accounts; you'll be responsible for

owning your clients' long-term success

. This means truly understanding their business, acting as a trusted partner, and helping them achieve sustainable growth.

Role expectations





You'll be the primary point of contact for our most valuable clients, focusing on building deep, lasting relationships.



Your time will be divided across these key areas:


40% - Nurture, Manage and Grow:

Manage and nurture our existing portfolio of merchants for retention. Your mission is to identify and capitalize on opportunities to upsell and cross-sell, deepening our partnership and increasing our share of their business.

20% - Project Management:

Take the lead on go-live projects for new enterprise clients. You will be the orchestrator, ensuring a smooth and successful integration from start to finish.

20% -Cross Sell/ Up Sell :

Actively seek out and secure new opportunities of cross selling and up selling to the existing merchant base. You'll be a hunter as well as a farmer, expanding on our adoption of new products and services.

10% - Project Management:

Take the lead on go-live projects for new enterprise clients. You will be the orchestrator, ensuring a smooth and successful integration from start to finish.

10% - Pipeline Management and forecasting:

Maintain a healthy, organized pipeline, ensuring a consistent flow of opportunities and a clear view of your performance whilst forecasting for future opportunities.


Competencies: What You Bring





We need a proactive, results-oriented individual with a proven track record. You should be:


Experienced:

You have

5-9 years of experience

in a client-facing sales or account management role, with a history of exceeding targets.

Tech-Savvy:

You can quickly grasp complex technical concepts, including our

Peach Payments API

, and build rapport with highly technical customers.

A Payment expert:

Having an in-depth knowledge of Payments will be advantageous to the success within the role, as well as in your onboarding

A Problem Solver:

You can understand intricate enterprise requirements and design custom solutions that meet their needs while aligning with company goals.

A Master Communicator:

You possess great negotiation, listening, and communication skills, allowing you to influence client management and align internal teams.

Highly Adaptable:

You thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment and can manage multiple projects and relationships simultaneously
