Job Description
We are seeking a Junior Structural Engineer / Technician (Civils) for a permanent vacancy based in Durbanville, Western Cape.Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:
- Eng/B.Tech/NDip Civil Engineering / Construction with at least 2 years related experience
- Must have worked on Prokon and AutoCad systems
- Good problem-solving ability and technical skills
- Valid drivers and own transport
- Fluency in both English and Afrikaans
- Must have the desire to be a Pr.Eng assistance given for this goal
- Able to learn quickly
- Good work ethic and sober habits
- Based in WC Northern Suburbs
- Design, draw, plan and oversee manufacture and installation of structural elements
- Designing structural elements for residential and commercial buildings
- Calculate loads and stress
- Quotations and costs of projects
- Conduct site inspections and liaise with site staff
