About the Role:

We are looking for a self-motivated and reliable

Sales Representative

with

experience in building materials

, ideally in ceilings, insulation, or polystyrene products. You'll be responsible for handling incoming sales leads, quoting accurately, following up professionally, and helping clients choose the right products for their construction or renovation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Respond to sales enquiries from walk-ins, phone calls, WhatsApp, and email Assist clients in choosing the right ceiling, insulation, or EPS/XPS product for their needs Prepare and send accurate quotes using our templates or quoting system Follow up on quotes proactively to close deals Upsell and cross-sell products where appropriate Work closely with our dispatch and production teams to ensure smooth delivery of orders Build long-term relationships with repeat customers and contractors Keep basic records of customer interactions and quotes

Requirements:

2+ years

of experience in sales (preferably in hardware, construction, or building materials) Experience quoting or specifying ceilings, insulation, or polystyrene is a

strong advantage

Ability to follow up and close deals -- not just send quotes! Solid communication skills in English and Afrikaans (both written and spoken) Great maths skills for quoting and pricing Must be based near

Strydompark

, with reliable transport Computer-literate (Email, WhatsApp, Google Sheets, etc.)

Bonus Skills (Not Required but Great to Have):

Familiarity with EPS, XPS, or other insulation materials Experience in counter sales or hardware/building supply store environment Basic knowledge of South African building standards or product specs
