About the Role



We are seeking a motivated and forward-thinking

Junior Mortgage Support Associate

to join our growing team. This is more than an administrative position - it is a structured career pathway into the UK mortgage and financial services industry.

This role is ideal for someone with a foundational understanding of finance and property who is eager to build a long-term career in mortgage advice. You do not need to be a qualified adviser yet; however, you must have a genuine interest in the mortgage market, an understanding of how interest rates and mortgages work, and strong communication skills.

Your journey will start by mastering the back-office and support functions of mortgage applications. For the right candidate, we offer structured training, mentorship, and exam support toward industry competency and progression.

Key Responsibilities



Mortgage Case Administration:


Manage mortgage applications from submission through to completion, ensuring all documentation is accurate, compliant, and submitted on time.

Lender & Third-Party Liaison:


Act as the main point of contact for lenders, solicitors, and insurers, proactively chasing updates and resolving queries.

Client Communication:


Maintain regular contact with clients, providing clear and professional updates on application progress and explaining complex information in a simple, reassuring manner.

Market & Product Research:


Support Senior Advisers by researching mortgage products, comparing interest rates, and assisting with the preparation of "Best Advice" documentation.

Forward Planning & Problem Solving:


Anticipate potential issues such as expiring documents or lender requirements and address them before they impact application timelines.

What We're Looking For



Financial Literacy



A solid understanding of mortgages/bonds and how interest rates affect repayments General awareness of the UK financial and economic landscape

Strong Communication Skills



Articulate, professional, and confident when speaking to clients and providers Comfortable communicating telephonically and in writing

Proactive & Dynamic Mindset



A natural problem solver who thinks ahead Able to identify next steps without waiting for instruction

Experience



Essential:

Some experience in finance, banking, real estate, or a high-compliance administrative environment

Desirable:

Experience using CRM systems or working with financial service providers
