Job Purpose

Oversee daily logistics, warehousing, and distribution operations by managing day-to-day logistics activities while also supervising warehouse staff and optimizing operational efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse & Logistics:

Oversee and ensure smooth running and daily logistics, warehousing, and distribution operations. Manage transport planning and ensure timely delivery of goods. Optimize routes, costs, and processes for maximum efficiency. Coordinate with suppliers, transporters, and internal departments. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and legal regulations. Manage budgets, control costs, and implement continuous improvement strategies. Implement process improvements and best practices. Monitoring inventory levels across all sections of the warehouse. Addressing customer inquiries regarding deliveries, resolving shipping issues, and maintaining customer satisfaction. Overseeing warehouse activities like receiving, packing, and shipping goods, ensuring proper storage and handling. Optimizing warehouse space utilization. Managing warehouse equipment and maintenance.

Leadership:

Managing day to day activities of staff to optimum efficiency levels. Lead and develop the logistics team to ensure high performance and accountability. Assigning tasks and providing training to warehouse personnel.

Reporting

Generating reports on key logistics metrics. Monitor and report on inventory, delivery performance, and operational KPIs.

Education

Diploma in supply chain, transportation, logistics, business or related field.

Experience

* Minimum 6 years' experience in logistics, supply chain, or transport management.
