Role Overview: Reporting to the Applications Manager, the IT Applications Support Analyst plays a pivotal role in supporting and enhancing the performance of various business applications. These include MS Dynamics Nav, IVS Foxpro, Healthshare Health Connect, Power Apps, Paragon, SQL Reporting, Phixflow, Salesforce, Epod, interfaces & portals, and bespoke software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deputize for the Applications Manager, leading meetings, and advising team members.
  • Monitor the applications service queue, resolve incidents, and assist junior team members.
  • Support ITIL processes: Incident Management, Problem Management, and Change Management.
  • Act as Administrator for security and permissions assignment, conducting audits for appropriate access.
  • Contribute to the continual development and improvement of all business applications, suggesting solutions to known problems.
  • Produce technical reports and management information as required.
  • Carry out daily checks to monitor applications services.
  • Provide support and training to the business application users as an Application SME.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Prior knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Nav, MS Business Central ERP, or valid ERP exposure.
  • Scientific/numerical background or experience in an IT environment with evidence of relevant skills.
  • Basic understanding of SQL Server and knowledge of T-SQL.
  • Strong customer service ethic, drive, enthusiasm, and a 'can do' attitude.
  • Interest in programming and scripting languages.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Ability to communicate with staff at all levels of the business at a technical level.
  • ITIL Foundation certification and knowledge of core technologies, including .Net, Windows Server, Azure, Office applications, and reporting technologies.
  • Knowledge of release-based application development and the development lifecycle.
  • Working experience of the Data Protection Act 1998.
