Role Overview: Reporting to the Applications Manager, the Senior IT Applications Support Analyst leads in supporting and enhancing various business applications, including MS Dynamics Nav, IVS Foxpro, Healthshare Health Connect, Power Apps, Paragon, SQL Reporting, Phixflow, Salesforce, Epod, interfaces & portals, and bespoke software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and deputize for the Applications Manager, guiding team members and conducting key meetings.
  • Manage the applications service queue, ensuring high service levels, and escalating when required.
  • Drive critical ITIL processes: Incident Management, Problem Management, and Change Management.
  • Act as the primary Administrator for security and permissions assignment, conducting regular audits.
  • Significantly contribute to the continual development and improvement of all business applications, offering innovative solutions to challenges.
  • Produce detailed technical reports and management information as required.
  • Conduct daily checks to maintain the stability of applications services.
  • Provide advanced support and training to the business application users, serving as a recognized Application SME.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Nav, MS Business Central ERP, or substantial ERP exposure.
  • Scientific/numerical background or extensive experience in an IT environment with proven skills.
  • Proficient in SQL Server with advanced knowledge of T-SQL.
  • Proven customer service ethic, strong leadership qualities, and a 'can do' attitude.
  • Demonstrated expertise in programming and scripting languages.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff at all technical levels within the business.
  • ITIL Foundation certification and comprehensive knowledge of core technologies, including .Net, Windows Server, Azure, Office applications, and reporting technologies.
  • Substantial experience in release-based application development and the development lifecycle.
  • Strong understanding and practical application of the Data Protection Act 1998.
