We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Industrial/Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role provides a strong foundation for career growth, equipping individuals with the skills and experience to progress into senior roles.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement process improvements, including process flow optimisation, manpower calculations, and time studies.
Design production processes that maximise efficiency and minimise waste (reducing 7 types of waste, enabling faster changeovers, and improving material usage/scrap reduction).
Generate process documentation and reports (work orders, BOM verifications, part verification measurements, etc.).
Plan and design layout improvements to optimise current and future production processes.
Lead and support continuous improvement projects, ensuring successful execution from initiation to completion (including the introduction of new technology).
Manage multiple projects, meeting deadlines and achieving operational objectives.
Support the startup of new projects, assisting with trial/sample parts development until standard operating procedures (SOP) are in place.
Collaborate with Production and Projects teams to develop optimised processes for forming, trimming, and assembling, ensuring cost-effective SOP implementation.
Qualifications and Requirements
A completed BTech or BEng in Industrial Engineering qualification.
1-2 years' relevant experience (internships, part-time roles, or volunteer work count) beneficial.
Applicants should not have participated in a SETA-funded program in the past two years.
