Job Description
An opportunity is available for a junior fashion designer / pattern maker (full-time employment) within The Ballet Box & Sewing Room. If you are passionate about the fashion industry, serious about learning and want to work in a highly creative environment, then this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities include:
Doing Pattern Masters and keeping them neat and organized. Assist with Pattern making and Manipulation. Assist with Basic grading of patterns. Assist with Designing ballet, dance, gymnastic and active wear, mainly once-off designs. Assist workshop with construction and quality control of custom orders.
Competencies:
Strong creative skills Strong Manual Pattern Making Skills Strong organizational skills Ability to communicate fluently in English and Afrikaans.
Problem solving skills.
Strong ability to interpret and visualize client requirements.
Deadline driven. Strong verbal and nonverbal communication skills. Ability to work with children. Must show attention to detail. Positive attitude and willing to learn.
Qualifications and Experience
Fashion design / Pattern making or related qualification.
Experience in a relevant role will be highly advantageous.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: R8000,00 - R10000,00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
Bellville, Western Cape 7530: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Pattern Making: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
Drivers License (Required)
